Categories of information we collect

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on account applications and other forms;
  • Information about your transactions with, our affiliates, or others; and
  • Information we may receive from consumer reporting agencies.

Categories of information we disclose

We may disclose the following types of nonpublic personal information about you:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, contact information, social security number, government issued ID number, financial information, employment, and bank information;
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others, such as your account balance, payment history, your account transaction history, and parties to transactions; and
  • Information we may receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as your creditworthiness and credit history.

                  
Categories of information we disclose and parties to whom we disclose

As permitted by law and as outlined in this policy, we disclose your nonpublic personal information to affiliates and unaffiliated third parties that provide products and services to us or with whom we have contractual relationships in order to provide such products or services. Examples of unaffiliated third parties with whom we may share your nonpublic personal information include:

  • Financial service providers, such as clearing firms, other broker-dealers, investment companies, investment advisers, insurance companies, and other financial product and/or service providers; and
  • Non-financial companies, such as companies that provide services to us to assist with the maintenance of required books and records, companies that provide technology services to us, companies that facilitate our client mailings or publications on our behalf, and consulting firms that provide audit services or other professional services to us or on our behalf.

We do not sell, share or disclose your nonpublic personal information to any unaffiliated third parties for the purpose of third-party marketing. However, we may enter into a joint marketing agreement with unaffiliated financial institutions with which we have a contractual agreement. These financial institutions have agreed to treat our clients nonpublic personal information as confidential and not share such information with any other parties except as permitted by law or regulation.

Please note that if your Brookstone Registered Representative ("the Representative") terminates his or her association with us and moves to another financial institution such as, a broker-dealer or an investment advisory firm, the Representative may take and disclose your nonpublic personal information to the Representative’s new firm.

If you do not want your Representative to disclose your nonpublic personal information to the Representative’s new firm, and if you do not want the Representative to retain copies of your nonpublic personal information when he or she terminates his or her association with Brookstone, you may request that we and/or the

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.
